2006-03-12 [Ocean Soul]: Vectors are exactly defined shapes, points, lines.. That makes vector images unlimited scalable. Other images such as digital drawings are rastered and can't be scaled so much without getting blurred edges and stuff in the end. It's just a generally different concept of drawing, I guess.
